These little insects are marmalade hoverflies – often mistaken for wasps, but totally harmless. You’ll spot them glowing like gold in sunbeams, hovering with incredible control.
They’re a great first ID for beginners: look for the orange-and-black stripes and that hovering flight style. 🐝
Next time you’re out on a sunny walk, pause and see if you can find one lighting up the air. 🌞🍃

Since the release of beavers into the wild back in March, there have been a number of successes.
